About
The Maine Assistance Program for Lawyers and Judges (MAP), established in 2002, provides confidential assistance to Maine lawyers, judges, law students, and bar applicants struggling with substance abuse or mental health issues. MAP aims to protect clients, aid impaired legal professionals in recovery, and educate the legal community about these challenges.
Mission
The Maine Assistance Program for Lawyers and Judges provides confidential assistance to help individuals and their supporters identify and address problems with substance abuse, mental health challenges, and more. They also provide counseling to lawyers and judges needing assistance due to impairment from alcoholism, drug abuse and mental or emotional disorders.
