About
Founded in 2014, the Margaret Okari Children's Foundation educates, feeds, shelters, and advocates for at-risk children in Kisii, Kenya. Sisters Kwamboka and Margaret Okari started by taking in orphans affected by the AIDS pandemic, providing education and support. The Town Elders of Kisii donated land to build a boarding school, which opened in 2009. The school was named in memory of Margaret, who sadly passed away before its completion. The organization strives to empower vulnerable children through education.
Mission
The Margaret Okari Children's Foundation empowers orphans and vulnerable children through education by providing housing, food, and a safe environment. Their residential school in Kenya educates and cares for at-risk youth from preschool through 8th grade.
