Sponsors members to attend the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Mid-Year Forum, developing leadership and advocacy skills.
Glaucoma Public Awareness Initiative
Educates the public, especially at-risk groups, about glaucoma in partnership with the Department of Public Health and the MA Medical Society.
Preschool Children’s Screening Project
Lobbies to mandate eye screenings for all children by age three to diagnose amblyopia early.
Ophthalmology for the School Nurse
Provides a manual for school nurses to help them manage common eye problems and injuries.
MSEPS Speakers Bureau
Offers informational talks by member ophthalmologists.
Senior Eye Health Screenings
Provides free eye screenings at Senior Centers and Council on Aging facilities.
HCFA/AAO Medicare Diabetes Initiative
Works to improve health services for Medicare diabetic patients by increasing the number who receive annual dilated eye exams.
