Founded in 1967, the Massachusetts Union of Public Housing Tenants is the first statewide public housing tenants’ organization in the nation. Run by tenants for tenants, its mission is to build power and voice for tenants to improve public housing in Massachusetts. They envision a world without homelessness, where housing is a human right, and public housing communities are safe and inclusive.

The Mass Union of Public Housing Tenants builds power and voice for tenants, enabling them to effectively improve public housing throughout Massachusetts. As a tenant-run nonprofit, they advocate for the preservation and betterment of public housing across the state.
