Founded in 1950, Middle Road Volunteer Fire Department serves Indiana, Shaler, Hampton & O’Hara Townships. Originally chartered in Indiana Township, it was built by members & community volunteers. Today, Allegheny County Emergency Services recognizes it as Station 174, continuing the tradition of Monday night training sessions started in 1952.
