The Milton Historical Society, est. 1972, is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Milton and the Broadkill Hundred. Located in a former Methodist Church (built in 1857), the Society collects, preserves, and interprets stories, artifacts, and documents. It serves as a museum, lecture hall, art gallery, education and research center, and a community hub. They offer various programs and events.
Mission
The Milton Historical Society increases public understanding and appreciation of the history of Milton and the Broadkill Hundred by collecting, preserving, and interpreting stories, artifacts, and documents. They welcome participation of all ages in sharing informative and engaging experiences that encourage discovery and appreciation of their heritage.
