The Modesto Garden Club, founded in 1924, aims to educate and share knowledge about landscape design, flora culture, agriculture, and horticulture. They provide joy of gardening to members, children, seniors, and the community. Notable projects include landscaping Modesto Junior College (1924), Arbor Day tree planting (1928), and the Camellia Festival (1962). They also contribute to parks, museums, and historical sites.
Mission
The Modesto Garden Club's objective is to educate and impart knowledge of landscape design, flora culture, agriculture, trees, pest management, and ornamental horticulture, instilling the joy of gardening to its members and the community.
