The Mount Gretna Area Historical Society, founded in 2004, preserves the heritage of the Mount Gretna area, including the Borough, Campmeeting, Chautauqua, and more. They host events and are open to visitors Memorial Day through Labor Day, offering exhibits and programs to engage the community in learning about the region's unique history.
Mission
The Society is charged with preserving the heritage of the entire Mount Gretna area, including Mount Gretna Borough, Campmeeting, the Pennsylvania Chautauqua, The Heights, Timber Hills, Conewago Hill, Stoberdale, areas to Colebrook once occupied by the Pennsylvania National Guard, and areas of Cornwall which involved the Coleman family.
