About
Founded in 2005, MT Meru Coffee Project Inc. ensures fair trade practices for Tanzanian coffee farmers. Originating from a partnership with the Meru Diocese, the project imports premium coffee, providing farmers fair prices to improve their living standards, educate children, and access healthcare. Managed by volunteers, it supports sustainable farming and empowers over 1000 farmers, fostering economic growth in the Mt. Meru region.
Mission
Mt. Meru Coffee Project is a direct Fair Trade non-profit organization that imports premium coffee from the peasant farm families of the Meru Diocese in Tanzania. They establish and grow fair and equitable partnerships between Meru coffee growers and consumers through just pricing and ethical practices.
