Playing History Musician Mentorship Program
Offers free or reduced private lessons to economically disadvantaged families in upper Manhattan and the Bronx, with mentorship from orchestra members.

The Multicultural Music Group, Inc. (MMG), established in 1996, uses music to teach history and advance social justice. MMG commissions and presents performances by composers, scholars, and musicians of color. Their programs include Arts Education Programs such as the Symphonic Youth Program, and Multicultural Music Encounters, a concert series showcasing MMG-commissioned works. MMG serves economically-marginalized communities in NYC.
