Through safety education, they strive to save lives and prevent accidents around railroads.
Mission
NY Operation Lifesaver is dedicated to ending collisions, fatalities, and injuries at highway-rail grade crossings and on railroad right-of-way in New York by educating the public on railroad safety. Trained volunteers dedicate their time teaching people how to stay safe at railroad crossings and informing them on the dangers of trespassing on railroad property.
