Founded in 1974, the Nicollet Island East Bank Neighborhood Association is dedicated to transforming our Minneapolis community at 171 Island Ave E. We envision our neighborhood as an urban laboratory, showcasing public art and fostering walkability and bikeability. With a focus on innovative parklets and welcoming plazas, we blend the old with the new, ensuring our area is environmentally sensitive and accessible through excellent public transportation. Join us in celebrating and enhancing our vibrant community!
Mission
The neighborhood will serve as an urban laboratory where innovations take place within the public realm. This eclectic neighborhood will be known for its public art, walkability, bikeability, access to great public transportation, welcoming plazas, innovative parklets, environmental sensibility, and careful blending of the new with the old.
