NASTO unites state transportation departments from the Northeastern US and Canadian provinces, Ontario and Quebec. Founded in 2004, it fosters discussion, research, cooperation, and partnership on key transportation issues.
Mission
NASTO advances transportation policies and practices beneficial to the Northeast Region of the United States and the Eastern Provinces of Canada, and to the United States and Canada as a whole. They aim to make transportation systems safer, more efficient, and more resilient.
