The Norwalk Education Foundation, founded in 1998, supports Norwalk Public Schools students and teachers. NEF works for accountability, advocates for school improvement, and generates resources. Its major impact areas include college preparedness, excellence in education, and teacher mini-grants. NEF initially focused on technology training for teachers and has expanded to address evolving educational needs.
Mission
The Norwalk Education Foundation works closely with Norwalk Public Schools to provide programs and services to children so they can achieve academic success and grow socially and emotionally.
