The Ohio Junior Classical League (OJCL) promotes the study of Latin language and classical civilization. As part of the National JCL, it's among the largest organizations globally dedicated to this cause. With 3 regions (North, Central, & South), the OJCL celebrated 67 years in 2017 with 29 chapters and 1,009 students. Note: While founded in 1950s, info may not reflect founding year of 2023.
Mission
The Ohio Junior Classical League promotes the study of the Latin language and classical civilization, fostering a spirit of community and friendly competition. It develops responsibility through student leadership and instills enthusiasm, dedication, and passion for the Classics, enriching each member's total growth.
