The Old Lyme Land Trust, founded in 1966, is dedicated to preserving Old Lyme's natural resources for future generations. Originally the Old Lyme Conservation Trust, it protects land and water through acquisitions, management, and education. Starting with a salt marsh donation, it now owns over 1,000 acres and partners with organizations to preserve the rural character of Old Lyme.

The Old Lyme Land Trust conserves Old Lyme's natural, scenic, and historic land and water resources for current and future generations by acquiring and managing land and educating the public.
