The Oregon Suzuki Institute, founded in 2006, is a week-long summer program in Portland offering Suzuki students lessons, performance opportunities, and classes to enhance their musical studies. It provides a nurturing environment for intense music learning, fostering community, creativity, and challenge through music and art. Programs include masterclasses, group classes, and enrichment courses like bucket drumming, Orff, and orchestra.
Mission
The Oregon Suzuki Institute provides Suzuki students with opportunities to receive lessons, perform, and take classes, reinforcing their studies at home. They also offer parents the chance to learn further skills to help their children and provide opportunities for teachers to expand their skills.
