Ossining Steamer Co. No. 1, established in 1876, is a volunteer fire department providing fire protection and emergency response services to the Ossining community. Founded with the purchase of a Silsby rotary steam fire engine, it continues to serve from its Main Street station, responding to fire and other emergencies.
