About
The Penn Brad Oil Museum, est. 2014, preserves the spirit of a historic oil community in Bradford, PA, once the world's first billion-dollar oil field. It showcases the boom times and history of the Bradford Oil Field, which in 1881 produced 83% of the US total oil output. Visitors can tour an oil lease house and view the architecture built by Oil Barons.
Mission
The Penn Brad Oil Museum preserves the philosophy, the spirit, and the accomplishments of an oil country community by taking visitors back to the early oil boom times of the first billion dollar oil field.
