The Peter Dougherty Society, founded in 2006, is dedicated to restoring, maintaining, and showcasing the Dougherty Mission House and its grounds. This non-profit preserves the historical landmark, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, as a cultural, educational, and community center and museum. The Society offers historical tours, maintains heritage and accessible trails, and cultivates gardens reflecting 19th-century farming practices.
