About
The Philharmonic Society of Arlington, founded in 1933, is a non-profit community organization comprised of the Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra, the Arlington-Belmont Chorale, and the Arlington-Belmont Chamber Chorus. It provides performances of classical and contemporary works, orchestral and choral training, and performance opportunities. The Society also hosts a Young Artist Competition and aims to showcase local talent and premiere new compositions.
Mission
The Arlington Philharmonic's mission is to make classical music accessible to every Arlington resident, promote its value in civic life, and build strong partnerships with schools, government, businesses, and other organizations. They affirm that racial equity is a core tenet and will be embedded in their structure, operations, and artistic endeavors.
