Physicians Medical Forum, founded in 2003, is dedicated to increasing the retention and recruitment of African-American and underrepresented minority physicians. Based in Oakland, CA, PMF strives to improve healthcare services for underserved communities through programs like Doctors On Board, Community Health Ambassadors, and the California Medical Scholars Program. PMF offers mentoring, scholarships, and workshops to support aspiring doctors, building healthier individuals and communities.
Mission
The Physicians Medical Forum encourages the education, training, and resources for recruitment and retention of African-American/Black and underrepresented minority physicians. They provide infrastructure and support for them to succeed, which will help eliminate health disparities and improve health equity and access to medical care.
