About
The Pocono Cinema & Cultural Center, originally opened in 1884 as The Academy of Music, has a rich history. After a fire in 1929, it was rebuilt and reopened in 1930. It served as a cinema until 1986 and was renovated in 1996. Reopened in 2008 as a non-profit, it became the Pocono Cinema and Cultural Center in 2015 to better reflect its mission. The center provides unique films and cultural experiences in East Stroudsburg.
Mission
A long-standing independent movie theater serving the local community. It provides both art house and blockbuster films along with private rentals and a party room for get togethers.
