About
The Pomerene Center for the Arts, founded in 1984, promotes community involvement in the arts. It began with a neighborhood coalition and volunteers, later developing exhibition galleries, a terrace, and the Bachert Studio. In 2017, it opened the artPARK, a public space for creative engagement. In 2021, the center relocated to Main Street to focus on community engagement through the arts.
Mission
Founded in 1984, the Pomerene Center for the Arts promotes community involvement in the arts and preserves the historic Greek Revival mansion that houses it, thanks to a strong neighborhood coalition and dedicated volunteers.
