The Portland Porpoise Swim Club (PPSC), established in 1989, cultivates a love for swimming and encourages athletes to achieve their highest potential. Originally part of Portland Recreation, it transitioned to a coach-owned club under Matt Baxter in 2022. With 35 years of experience, PPSC provides competitive programs and fosters teamwork, sportsmanship, and strong work ethics, creating responsible citizens.
Mission
Portland Porpoise Swim Club encourages swimmers to be successful, creating strong swimmers who are outstanding and responsible citizens. Athletes learn teamwork, sportsmanship, a strong work ethic, discipline, self-motivation, and self-esteem, fostering a lifelong love of swimming.
