The Proprioceptive Writing Center, founded in 1986, encourages the teaching and practice of Proprioceptive Writing (PW). PW is a writing method therapeutic in nature that helps individuals slow their thoughts and focus on their inner voice. PW uses short writing sessions and baroque music to expand consciousness, promote self-expression, and facilitate emotional understanding.
