About
The New York State Congress of Parents and Teachers, the first state branch of the National Congress, was organized in 1897. It coordinates statewide programs for children and youth, represents them on state committees, and provides resources and leadership development through conferences, workshops, publications, and its 13 regional PTAs.
Mission
The New York State PTA is a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.
