About
The New York State PTA, the first state branch of the National PTA, was organized in 1897. It aims to promote child welfare in home, school, and community; raise home life standards; advocate for child-related laws; foster collaboration between families and educators; engage the public to secure well-being for all children; and advocate for fiscal responsibility in public education. NYS PTA offers programs in literacy, arts, family engagement, safety, and bullying prevention.
Mission
PTA is a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.
