Queen Ann Nzinga Center, founded in 2008 in Plainville, CT, educates youth and adults in Connecticut in the arts, history, and culture of Africa and the African Diaspora through free or low-cost classes, workshops, residencies, and public performances in churches, schools, libraries, art centers, and other public forums.
Mission
Queen Ann Nzinga Center celebrates and uplifts youth of all races, genders and abilities in Central Connecticut. Through multi-dimensional programming and artistic expression, they help youth develop self-esteem, self-awareness, and confidence in a safe space.
