Re-Creation USA, founded in 1976, provided therapeutic live entertainment to hospitalized veterans, care centers, and communities across America. Performing over 12,000 shows, their programs included personalized live streams, archived shows, public concerts, gospel programs, Christmas shows, and school assemblies. Driven by volunteer college-age students, they aimed to uplift and honor veterans while promoting youth engagement and community spirit. Re-Creation USA closed its doors in May 2023.
Mission
Re-Creation was founded in 1976 to provide bright, positive entertainment in nursing homes, prisons, and other institutions. They performed over 12,000 shows across America, mostly in Veterans Homes and Hospitals, providing a dynamic presence in places that could often be lonely and isolating.
