Established in 1955, the Rebecca Pomroy Foundation honors Rebecca Rossignol Pomroy, a 19th-century advocate for orphaned girls. Originally created to maintain the Newton Home for Orphan Girls, the Foundation now supports health-building, educational, and recreational programs for all ages, with a focus on training and counseling for girls and young women in need and community centers in Newton, MA.
