About
The Redlands Bicycle Classic, established in 1985, is the longest continuously running invitational stage race in American bike racing. Founded by Mayor Carole Beswick and cycling enthusiast Peter Brandt, the Classic revitalized Redlands' downtown and became a premier event, hosting future Olympians and Tour de France participants. An all-volunteer committee organizes the race, which also includes a host family program for riders, showcasing community spirit. The event has helped grow the cycling community in Redlands, contributing to new bike lanes and paths.
Mission
The Redlands Bicycle Classic is the longest continuously running invitational, professional stage race in American bike racing. Each year, the City of Redlands and surrounding communities welcome world-class athletes.
