About
The Rhythm Night Club On Site Memorial Museum in Natchez, MS, honors the 207 citizens who perished or were wounded in the tragic 1940 Rhythm Night Club fire. Founded in 2018, the museum, whose creation began in 2010 by the Sago Family, features exhibits including photos, newspaper articles, survivor recordings, documents, and music from the fateful night.
Mission
The Rhythm Night Club Memorial Museum commemorates the 209 people who died in a fire at the dancehall on April 23, 1940. The museum tells the story of the fire’s victims, their families, and the community that was so affected by the tragedy.
