The Richard N Tillson TUW Plattsburgh Public Library, founded in 2000, serves as both a community library and a central reference library for Clinton, Essex, and Franklin counties. Originally the Plattsburgh High School in 1875, it transitioned to a library, offering diverse services to inspire and enrich the community.

The Plattsburgh Public Library serves the educational, cultural, recreational, and inspirational needs of every citizen in the City of Plattsburgh, offering resources and opportunities for lifelong learning and community engagement.
