RISE Rockaway, est. 2005, empowers all Rockaway residents to care for their environment and community. Through civic engagement and youth development programs, they advance social equity and well-being in this vibrant coastal Queens neighborhood. Programs include RISE Farm Share, Living Classroom, and Shore Corps. To date, RISE has served 40k community members.
Mission
RISE UP provides goods, services, relief resources, advocacy, and emotional/spiritual support to the impoverished of Rockaway, striving to feed, clothe, and provide community.
