Founded in 2009, Santa Barbara Dance Institute (SBDI) empowers low-income, at-risk children through educational dance programs. Using methods from the National Dance Institute, SBDI helps students build confidence, improve health, and set high standards. Serving over 550 students annually in 12 schools, SBDI's programs promote teamwork, dedication, and achievement, culminating in performances at the Marjorie Luke Theatre.
Mission
Santa Barbara Dance Institute spreads joy, connection, and love through dance, helping individuals foster tenacity, a standard of excellence, and a belief in oneself that will carry over into all aspects of life.
