About
Savoyard Light Opera Company (SLOC), founded in 1971, began in Maynard, MA, performing Gilbert & Sullivan. Incorporated in 1980, it broadened its reach beyond Maynard and moved to Carlisle in 1988. While rooted in Gilbert & Sullivan, SLOC performs a variety of Broadway musicals, striving for near-professional quality with a full orchestra and welcomes all to audition for their annual production.
Mission
The Savoyard Light Opera Company encourages and makes generally available performances of the works of William S. Gilbert and Arthur S. Sullivan and other works of similar operatic, musical, or theatric nature in Carlisle and nearby areas.
