SC Hunters and Landowners for the Hungry, founded in 2004, is a volunteer-run nonprofit combating hunger in South Carolina. They collect donated meat from hunters, process it, and distribute it to food banks and other nonprofits, feeding over 15,000 people annually. They also provide monthly giveaways of groceries and supplies to 150 families in need. Since its start, they've donated over 427,403 pounds of meat, providing 1.5 million meals.
Mission
South Carolina Hunters for the Hungry transforms the passion for hunting into a lifeline for families facing food insecurity. By donating legally harvested deer, hunters provide high-protein meat to nonprofit organizations and families in need across the state.
