About
The Schuylkill Choral Society, founded in 1973, is an 80-voice auditioned volunteer choir promoting cultural growth in its community. Originally the Schuylkill County Community Chorus, it has expanded its repertoire, toured Europe and Canada, and performed with orchestras. The chorus has released albums, been featured on TV and radio, and recognized for its contributions to the community, including by President Clinton. It marked its 50th anniversary in 2023.
Mission
The Schuylkill Choral Society is a non-profit, volunteer community organization dedicated to learning, rehearsing, promoting, and performing choral music. They provide affordable entertainment, enhance the cultural life of the community, and foster a deeper appreciation of vocal and instrumental music.
