The Krewe of Selene, founded in 1998, is Slidell's all-female Mardi Gras Krewe. Named after the Greek goddess of the moon, they parade on the Friday night before Mardi Gras, bringing light and beauty to the celebration.
Mission
The Krewe of Selene, an all-female Mardi Gras krewe, gives back to the community through events like school supply and food drives, Project Christmas, and a Fight Cancer Float bead drive.
