About
Sheldrake Environmental Center, founded in 1974, is a 60-acre oasis in Larchmont, NY, providing sanctuary for wildlife and people. Its mission is to inspire environmental awareness and action, and preserve local resources. Originally the Larchmont Reservoir, it evolved through the Friends of the Reservoir and the L.I.F.E. Center, merging in 2001. Today, it offers diverse programs, including preschool, elementary, and adult education, fostering nature study and recreation.
