About
Shishu Bharati, founded in 1983 by Indian immigrants, teaches Indian languages & culture to children in the US. Beginning as a small study group, it grew into a registered nonprofit with over 850 students. It offers classes in Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, plus Yoga, with extracurriculars like performances, trips & festivals.
Mission
Shishu Bharati is dedicated to perceiving, preserving, and promoting Indian heritage through a nurturing and inclusive environment. They empower students to embrace their Indian roots with pride, fostering cultural confidence and linguistic proficiency to become ambassadors of diversity and inclusion.
