Founded in 2002 by Dr. Lavanya Rajagopalan, Silambam Houston is dedicated to promoting and developing the arts, imparting artistic education, and fostering young talent in the performing arts. They strive to increase appreciation and understanding of Indian artistic traditions across cultural boundaries through education, outreach, exceptional programming, and opportunities for young artists.
