About
The Simsbury A Better Chance Program, founded in 1973, is a residential college preparatory program. It aims to increase the number of men of color who graduate from college and become leaders. Scholars live in a supervised home, receive academic guidance, and participate in family life with host families. The program partners with Simsbury High School to provide educational opportunities.
Mission
The mission of the Simsbury ABC Program is to increase substantially the number of well-educated young men of color who are capable of assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society. The Program has offered motivated, outstanding, young men of color the opportunity to achieve their dreams through education since 1973.
