Sounds of South Inc., founded in 2006, is the advanced choir at Bloomington High School South. Led by Gwen Witten Upchurch, the choir participates in ISSMA events, stages musicals, and performs concerts for the community, supporting music education and choral growth.
Mission
Sounds of South supports music education for Bloomington High School South students through diverse choral literature, musicianship development, and fostering emotional and social growth. They emphasize individuality and cohesiveness within a productive group capable of making decisions and pursuing lifelong learning.
