The South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestras (SBYSO), founded in 1968, educates, inspires, and enriches young musicians and the community through music. Offering programs like Concert Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, sectionals, and chamber music, SBYSO provides young musicians with orchestral experience. SBYSO has been hosted by the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts at Indiana University South Bend since its start.
Mission
South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestras has been educating, inspiring, and enriching young musicians and the Michiana community through music since 1968. They provide the premier orchestral experience for young musicians throughout the Michiana region.
