The South East Connecticut Community Center of the Blind, founded in 1976, serves over 1,000 legally blind residents in Southeastern CT. They offer social, recreational, and educational programs such as Braille and computer classes, cooking and craft classes, support groups, and recreational activities to promote independence and community engagement.
Mission
Serving the social, recreational, educational, referral, and advocacy needs of the blind and visually impaired population of southeastern Connecticut since 1972. The center enriches lives through diverse programs and resources.
