Southern California Thoroughbred Rescue, founded in 2009, rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes Thoroughbred ex-racehorses at risk of slaughter, abuse, and neglect in Southern California. The volunteer-run charity provides a permanent safety net through screened adoptions or sanctuary for unadopted horses.
Mission
SCTR rescues Thoroughbred horses from neglect, abuse, and slaughter through rehabilitation and training programs, providing a safety net for these animals.
