St. Louis Irish Arts, founded in 1979, is dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional Irish music, song, and dance. As St. Louis' first and oldest school of Irish arts and a Comhaltas branch, they offer classes for all ages, taught in the traditional Irish way, with students providing the music for dancers.
Mission
St. Louis Irish Arts is dedicated to instructing the music and dance of Ireland, teaching Irish music, song and dance the way they were taught throughout the centuries in Ireland: the traditional Irish way. Their students play the music for their dancers, continuing the traditional Irish way.
