St. Peter's Landmark Preservation, Inc. was formed in 1971 to save the historic St. Peter's Catholic Church (built in 1897) in The Dalles, Oregon from demolition. The organization successfully raised funds to purchase the building, preserving its Povey stained glass and Kilgen organ. Today, Old St. Peter's Landmark serves as a venue for weddings and events, welcoming people of all denominations.
